[JBoss JIRA] (WFLY-4249) When a node left and rejoined the cluster, the authentication failed to sync.
by Jixing Wang (JIRA)
Jixing Wang created WFLY-4249:
---------------------------------
Summary: When a node left and rejoined the cluster, the authentication failed to sync.
Key: WFLY-4249
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/WFLY-4249
Project: WildFly
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Clustering
Affects Versions: 9.0.0.Alpha1, 8.2.0.Final, 8.1.0.Final
Environment: Fedora 18, Java 1.7.0_45-b18 64Bit
Reporter: Jixing Wang
Assignee: Paul Ferraro
Priority: Critical
Hi there,
When I try to use cluster features, I got an issue.
With SSO enabled, when a node left and rejoined the cluster, the authentication failed to sync.
I enabled SSO in standalone-ha.xml
<single-sign-on/>
Node 3:
$JBOSS_HOME/bin/standalone.sh -c standalone-ha.xml -b=10.0.0.120 -u 230.0.0.4 -Djboss.node.name=node3 -Djboss.socket.binding.port-offset=100
Node 4:
$JBOSS_HOME/bin/standalone.sh -c standalone-ha.xml -b=10.0.0.120 -u 230.0.0.4 -Djboss.node.name=node4 -Djboss.socket.binding.port-offset=200
I first started both nodes and logged in. Then I shut down node 3, and refresh the page. Everything worked fine until now. After this, I started node 3 again but I found I was logged out. When I shut down the node3, it worked again.
I also tried different versions of WildFly, 8.1, 8.2 and 9.0 and it failed in all versions.
The log from node 4 below happens sometimes but NOT always.

An easy way to debug this is to attach a debugger and set a breakpoint at org.apache.jasper.el.ELResolverImpl, then look at the value of ELManager.getExpressionFactory()

Are you sure you have not packaged anything in your deployment that somehow messes with the expression factory? Looking at the code I can't see how this could be null without a some form of custom expression factory.

[JBoss JIRA] (JGRP-1905) FORK: RPCs might block if fork channel or fork stack is not available
by Paul Ferraro (JIRA)
Paul Ferraro closed JGRP-1905.
------------------------------
Resolution: Rejected
Closing for now. This issue is to be addressed by individual rpc dispatchers (e.g. infinispan, wildfly's command dispatcher, etc.).
> FORK: RPCs might block if fork channel or fork stack is not available

> Key: JGRP-1905

> When we have nodes A,B,C,D, but fork-stack "fs-2" is not available on B, or fork-channel "ch-3" is not available on B, then an RPC invoked by A on all cluster nodes will time out.
> h5. Solution
> * Throw an exception on B if a fork-stack or -channel is not available on a target node. This way, the RPC would return quickly and B's response would be set to the exception (e.g. "fork channel fc-2 not available").

[JBoss JIRA] (WFLY-4162) Intermittent failure in ExcludeEjbSubsystemTestCase
by Stuart Douglas (JIRA)
Stuart Douglas commented on WFLY-4162:
--------------------------------------
I just got a failure after my changes, and it appears that the lookup is returning null sometimes, rather than throwing NameNotFoundException.
This makes it seem likely this is some kind of race in the naming subsystem, rather than an EJB issue.

[JBoss JIRA] (LOGMGR-119) Wrong backup file names by PeriodicRotatingFileHandler when suffix "yyyy-ww"

> When {{PeriodicRotatingFileHandler}} with suffix "yyyy-ww" rotates a log file over a year, file that belongs to the new year is incorrectly named using the previous year.
> Here is a demonstrating test code supposed to be pasted into {{src/test/java/org/jboss/logmanager/handlers/PeriodicSizeRotatingFileHandlerTests.java}}. It mimics a record started from 2014-12-24 and the resulting backup log file is named {{rotating-file-handler.log.2014-01}}. It should be 2015 instead.

[JBoss JIRA] (WFLY-4247) Deployment fails if a web-fragment.xml references fragment name that's not present
by James Livingston (JIRA)
James Livingston created WFLY-4247:
--------------------------------------
Summary: Deployment fails if a web-fragment.xml references fragment name that's not present
Key: WFLY-4247
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/WFLY-4247
Project: WildFly
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Web (Undertow)
Affects Versions: 9.0.0.Alpha1
Reporter: James Livingston
Assignee: Stuart Douglas
If you deploy a web application which has a web fragment with a relative ordering referring to a non-existent fragment, it will fail. This was reported for old JBossAS as JBAS-8767, Remy said the spec was not clear so he would ask, and them it was fixed for AS 6.0.
The reproducer WAR from JBAS-8767 fails to deploy on WildFly as well. I am unsure as to the result of the spec clarification on whether it should work, but since we fixed it for AS 6 it should probably be fixed in WF too.
