[JBoss JIRA] (WFLY-6526) Death to Kenny
by Brian Stansberry (JIRA)
Brian Stansberry updated WFLY-6526:
-----------------------------------
Description:
WildFly has been identifying itself with release "codename" Kenny since 9.0.0.Final.
IMO it's time for the codename tradition to die; it's not really useful and is just another detail to get wrong to add to the ever growing pile of such details.
We put this name in our MANIFEST.MF files, so for that I will just use the string "N/A".
was:
Core has been identifying itself with release "codename" Kenny since 1.0.0.Final.

I'll see if I can make be an empty string. I considered something like "N/A" or even null, but there's string concat code out there that appends the codename to the version, and an empty string may work better with that.

[JBoss JIRA] (WFCORE-1476) Managment descriptions in host-controller and server module should not reference JBoss Application Server
by Brian Stansberry (JIRA)
Brian Stansberry created WFCORE-1476:
----------------------------------------
Summary: Managment descriptions in host-controller and server module should not reference JBoss Application Server
Key: WFCORE-1476
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/WFCORE-1476
Project: WildFly Core
Issue Type: Enhancement
Components: Domain Management
Affects Versions: 2.1.0.Final
Reporter: Brian Stansberry
Assignee: Brian Stansberry
Fix For: 3.0.0.Alpha1
Some of the management API description in these modules use "JBoss Application Server" or "JBoss AS".
In some cases, the text should refer to WildFly Core, as the meaning relates to core, and doesn't relate to any particular distribution based on it. In other cases no proper noun is needed at all and it can be dropped.
