[JBoss JIRA] (ELY-1398) Verify public API signatures during build.
by Darran Lofthouse (JIRA)
Darran Lofthouse reassigned ELY-1398:
-------------------------------------
Assignee: (was: Darran Lofthouse)
> Verify public API signatures during build.
> ------------------------------------------
>
> Key: ELY-1398
> URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/ELY-1398
> Project: WildFly Elytron
> Issue Type: Enhancement
> Components: Build
> Reporter: Darran Lofthouse
> Fix For: 2.0.0.Alpha1
>
>
> This task will involve adding the ability to generate a signature for a specific version and verify them during the build - we only want this to apply to packages identified as public API.
> Animal Sniffer seems a good candidate http://www.mojohaus.org/animal-sniffer/
> Generation of a signature we can likely make on-demand as we only really need that at the point we tag a release.
> We would definitely want checking to run for CI PR processing but can decide if all builds should be checking with an option to disable or all disabled with an option to enable.

> The stack trace above is the first occurence of the exception, it appears on perf19 (https://jenkins.mw.lab.eng.bos.redhat.com/hudson/job/eap-7x-failover-ejb-...). At that time, perf18 is just shutting down gracefully, but the perf19 log clearly shows that both Infinispan and JGroups have already figured out that perf18 went away. Still, the absence of graceful shutdown for transactions might be an explanation... except that there's no reason why the cache on perf19 would be in an invalid state if it's perf18 who is going down. So maybe perf19 had to reach out to perf18 for some reason and the exception actually comes from perf18... but the cache is REPL, so perf19 should have all data locally already and it shouldn't really have to reach out to perf18.

> The difference from WFLY-4678 is the circumstances.
> In the following text, I'm refering to the nodes by their real names: {{perf17}} is the standalone EJB client, the "forwarder" cluster is {{perf20}} and {{perf21}}, and the "target" cluster is {{perf18}} and {{perf19}}.
> So, not really sure why it happens.

[JBoss JIRA] (WFCORE-3041) Cannot add policy resource with no parameter

------------------------------------
[~brian.stansberry] and [~michpetrov],I was on PTO, sorry for the late reply. It seems you already did the black magic for WFCORE-3041. Is there anything else missing ?
Regarding your question about multiple policies, the requirement came from https://issues.jboss.org/browse/EAP7-651. After reading your comments and changes, I think we are still good and aligned with the functional objective of original issue.
Thanks for looking this and sorry for any confusion.

[JBoss JIRA] (WFLY-9410) Can't run mvn install against testsuite-shared module twice without an intervening clean
by Brian Stansberry (JIRA)
Brian Stansberry resolved WFLY-9410.
------------------------------------
Fix Version/s: 11.0.0.Final
Assignee: Jan Stourac
Resolution: Done
[~soul2zimate] I was doing normal builds of the whole source tree, but with -DskipTests; i.e. typical "make a change and compile" workflows.
It doesn't fail now. I suspect WFLY-9376 fixed it as the commit message for that says:
"[WFLY-9376] Include shared keystores in .jar archive
- and retrieve them from there so we don't depend on the fact that
target directory in ./testsuite/shared is present with generated
keystores at the moment executing tests in other modules."
That sounds very much like something that would fix this. :) So I'll give Jan Stourac credit for fixing this one.
Thanks for looking.
