> As part of our rules, we have DSL that has nothing to do with the template keys and were hoping that we could use DSL just like in the Guided Rules (with DSL), but we have found that no substition takes place and the source shows the actual text of the LSH of the DSL definition, rather than the RHS.
> At a minimum, the option of choosing DSLs should not be included when adding a new clause to the rule, so that the user does not think it will work.
> Perferably, DSLs would be able to be used if they are not linked with a template key, as in the Guided Rules (with DSL) editor.
> Ideally, DSLs would be able to be used in the editor and the DSLs could define a template key to be included in the data table.

[JBoss JIRA] (DROOLS-1923) Guided rule editor: When the operator is "in" or "not in" values should be created with list widget rather than separating with commas

> When the operator is "in" or "not in" the list of values (for types other than enums) are defined by typing literal values separated by commas into a TextBox. This should be changed to use a new widget that allows a list of values to be created, with the value editor being correct for the field's data-type. This widget will also need to be used in the Template Data grid when the list is defined as a template key.

[JBoss JIRA] (DROOLS-1924) Free Form DRL Widget for the eval()s in the Guided editors

> The free form DRL could be shown as non-editable text area. It could use some "code font" and syntax hilighting to make it look different from the normal text.
> When you click it, it opens a popup or possibly an embed editor that allows you to edit the syntax. An option is to show the fact and fields on the left like in the technical editor.

> We have lots of built in functions, and probably should add more for common string and maths operations (eg in the RHS, taking a substring, appending something etc).
> This could be a drag and drop type of thing, like yahoo pipes (may apply to other high level operators on the LHS, eg drag a join or somesuch).

> When copying a guided rule, after entering the name of the new rule, the editor still shows the "base" rule which was used as the basis for the copy. The "Guided Rules (with DSL)" part of the Project Explorer reloads, closing the previously unfolded "Guided Rules (with DSL)" tree. The user must then first open that tree again, scroll down to the newly created rule and then click on it to open it.
> It would be nice if the newly created copy could be opened immediately after creating it, so the user won't have to explicitly open the new rule.

> Currently, it is indiscernible as to whether one is entering a Template Key, Literal Value, or Formula within the THEN clause of a Guided Rule. In the WHEN clause, there is a distinction between Literal/TemplateKey and Formulas in that the Formula Field Value type displays an (x)= in front of the value. Please consider adding similar icons to distinguish between which type of field value should be entered for Literals and Template Keys.
