So after debugging this and experimenting for a while, I'm not sure how this is supposed to work. I can't seem to get any kind of auth to succeed from the HostControllerConnection callback, and once the connection hits elytron, since it can't auth, it gets rejected.
I've looked at the CallbackHandler stuff in elytron, but since elytron doesn't know this is a server attempting to auth with the authKey, it will never be successful.
[~dlofthouse] When you have a few minutes can you give me a pointer on how this is supposed to work, and I'll happily get it working ;)
