The asynchronous API of the CommandDispatcher is meant to facilitate remote command execution. However, when a command is dispatched only to the local node, we can execute these commands synchronously.

[~mchoma] regarding to the missing {{@RunAsClient}} annotation, yes this is intentional as those tests are meant to be executed in server container.
I have [prepared commit|https://github.com/jstourac/wildfly/commit/96eed2d286638a8264dfd62...] that fixes issues with security manager enabled. Although, I wasn't able to find out which exact permission is required for the last test - {{SimpleRestClientTestCase}}. Thus I have put there {{AllPermission}} as a workaround, [see|https://github.com/jstourac/wildfly/commit/96eed2d286638a8264dfd627ea...]. Not sure whether it is okay. The exception that is thrown before the permission is added is following:
