[JBoss JIRA] (SWSQE-113) Allocate OpenShift and Jenkins resources for testing Jaeger productized images
by Kevin Earls (JIRA)
Kevin Earls commented on SWSQE-113:
-----------------------------------
Hi [~gbaufake] . I tried using the new B11 cluster this morning and ran into problems.
1. I created a project named "jaeger-test" and tried adding a persistent Jenkins to it. This Jenkins never finished deploying. So I tried deleting it, and couldn't get it to delete. Then I tried deleting the project, and as I write this it is still there in a "marked for deletion" state.
2. Then I thought I'd try the ephemeral Jenkins and see if I had any better luck. It has exhibited the same behavior. I've left it in place so you can look at the logs: https://b11.jonqe.lab.eng.bos.redhat.com:8443/console/project/jaeger-test...

> I need internal Jenkins and OpenShift resources for https://issues.jboss.org/browse/KIALI-336 which covers testing productized Jaeger images. I have already started working with [~fbrychta] but we have not completely resolved this yet.
> I can work with either of these two options
> -- A project on an OpenShift Cluster where I can create my own Jenkins instance.
> -- An external Jenkins which has an agent defined which can run on OpenShift.
> I'm not completely sure if the second solution will work, as when I run tests I will need to have access to ports that are not externally accessible. In that case I'd be happy to use the first solution.
> Finally, this will just be for smoke and possibly simple functional tests, so I won't need high levels of resources.

[JBoss JIRA] (WFCORE-3701) CLI multi-page output cannot be quit by capital Q

> If you type capital Q to quit the multi-page output it does nothing. For example users may have Caps lock turned on. I compared the behavior with linux commands more and less and they both react to capital Q.
> You can reproduce this issue using following commands:
> {code}
> ./bin/jboss-cli.sh
> [disconnected /] embed-server
> [standalone@embedded /] /subsystem=elytron:read-resource-description(recursive=true)
> # type capital Q
> {code}

[JBoss JIRA] (WFLY-10101) [Artemis 2.x upgrade] Unexptected crash of server in SOAK test
by Miroslav Novak (JIRA)
Miroslav Novak commented on WFLY-10101:
---------------------------------------
I've debugged start of the server to check which policy is set to critical analyzer and it's LOG. I guess it's not critical analyzer. But you're right in the point something might call System.exit() or System.getRuntime().halt() in Artemis.

> After ~13 hours there is unexpected crash of one server in SOAK test. There is no error/warning in the logs.
> Test Scenario:
> * Start 2 servers
> * Client sends messages to input queue. Messages then go through:
> * One server to another through MDB reading and sending them from remote container through resource adapter
> * Messages are forwarded from one server to another over JMS bridge and back over Core bridge
> * Messages have JMSReplyTo defined with a temporary queue, that is filled with responses for the client
> * Messages are read from the destination with stateless EJB and sent back to clients
> * Client reads the messages after the pass through all the soak modules.
> Pass Criteria: In the last step receiver consumes all messages sent by producer.
> Actual Result:
> After ~13 hours 1st server suddenly crashes. There is no error/warning in server logs.
> Issue was hit with Artemis 2.5.0 with https://github.com/jmesnil/wildfly/tree/WFLY-9407_upgrade_artemis_2.4.0_w... (commit 51dd8102f103ccb0470a3cfc8713d3f9bdb1b65d)

I've just started it with enabled traces for Artemis so we'll see. I did not provide any specific configuration for critical analyzer as it's not possible to configure it. There is not messaging integration for it.

> [Artemis 2.x upgrade] Unexptected crash of server in SOAK test
> --------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: WFLY-10101
> URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/WFLY-10101
> Project: WildFly
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: JMS
> Reporter: Miroslav Novak
> Assignee: Martyn Taylor
> Priority: Blocker
> Labels: feature-branch-blocker
>
