> *Background*
> Persona: Business analyst or Rules practitioner
> Use Cases:
> * From the DMN canvas view - as a user I want to *select* a data type, from a list of available data types, so I can associate it with a DMN node.
> * From the DMN canvas view - as a user I want a *means to* add a desired data type to the list of available data types.
> * From the DMN canvas view - as a user I want a *means to* edit a desired data type from the list of available data types.
> Functional considerations/ pre conditions:
> * Actions will be offered or spawned from right dock properties panel.
> * Design needs to be consistent with Stunner and PF components.
> Verification conditions:
> * Scrum team and PO review.

[~uxdlc] [~karreiro] IMO having the "Manage icon" in both use-cases is useful.

[~uxdlc] [~karreiro] I've attached a screenshot showing the current "state of play". The same "Data Type drop-down" is used in both the "Properties Panel" and "In-grid" (although the screenshot also shows the "Name" editor in the same "In-grid" popover, as agreed on [DROOLS-2792|https://issues.jboss.org/browse/DROOLS-2792?focusedCommentId=...]).
The Decision Table grid will use only the "Data Type drop-down" component on (IIRC) the Input and Output clause columns.

[JBoss JIRA] (DROOLS-2731) ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException when updating the rules at the runtime

Hi [~mfusco]
We are trying to get a reproducer but this issue comes up intermittently in our systems. We are on drools 7.6.0 version. We see this crash when our service tries to update rules at runtime under heavy load. After that all requests start to fail
We have seen very similar logs mentioned in https://issues.jboss.org/browse/DROOLS-1383 in the thread dump on that instances . Could the current issue be a sideeffect of the 1383 Deadlock issue.
This is a very critical requirement for our system. Please let us know how we can help to make further progress on this one.
