[JBoss JIRA] (WFLY-10949) IllegalArgumentException when get jdbc driver info if xa-datasource-class is not defined
by Lin Gao (JIRA)
Lin Gao created WFLY-10949:
------------------------------
Summary: IllegalArgumentException when get jdbc driver info if xa-datasource-class is not defined
Key: WFLY-10949
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/WFLY-10949
Project: WildFly
Issue Type: Bug
Components: JCA
Reporter: Lin Gao
Assignee: Lin Gao
Priority: Minor
Download oracle jdbc driver at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/features/jdbc/jdbc-ucp-122-311...
Install the driver as a module and add the JDBC driver:
{code:bash}
module add --name=com.oracle.jdbc --resources=/opt/Downloads/ojdbc8.jar --dependencies=[javax.api, javax.transaction.api]
/subsystem=datasources/jdbc-driver=oracle:add(driver-name=oracle, driver-module-name=com.oracle.jdbc, driver-datasource-class-name=oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSource, driver-class-name=oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver)
{code}
Then the following command will fail:
{code:}
/subsystem=datasources:get-installed-driver(driver-name=oracle)
{code}
The fail message is like:
{code:java}
{
"outcome" => "failed",
"failure-description" => "WFLYCTL0158: Operation handler failed: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: newValue is null",
"rolled-back" => true
}
{code}

[JBoss JIRA] (WFLY-10736) Server in cluster hangs during start after previous kill
by Paul Ferraro (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/WFLY-10736?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin... ]
Paul Ferraro commented on WFLY-10736:
-------------------------------------
[~mnovak] I've identified a bug in Infinispan that is the source of the state transfer timeouts (see linked jira). This is definitely something that needs to be fixed. However, unless I'm mistaken, the Lodh2TestCase doesn't seem to require any @Remote EJBs, thus you can disable the <remote/> configuration from the ejb3 subsystem. This will block the problematic/unused cache from starting, and allow the test to run.

> There is regression in JGroups or Infinispan in one of our tests for fault tolerance of JMS bridges. However work on JMS bridge appears to be unrelated. Issue was hit in WF weekly run.
> Test Scenario:
> * There are two servers. InQueue is deployed on Node 1,
> * OutQueue is deployed on Node 2. Both servers are started.
> * Large byte messages are sent to InQueue deployed on Node 1. Bridge between servers/queues transfers messages from node 1 to node 2.
> * Node 1 is killed and started again.
> * All messages are received from OutQueue deployed on Node 2.
> Result:
> Node 1 does not start after kill and hangs. There is following exception logged in node 2:
> {code}

[JBoss JIRA] (WFLY-10784) WeldStartCompletionService failed when optional components not installed
by Brian Stansberry (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/WFLY-10784?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin... ]
Brian Stansberry commented on WFLY-10784:
-----------------------------------------
[~mkouba] You're right. Sorry, and thanks for realizing this.
Another possibility is to use a org.jboss.msc.service.StabilityMonitor in a Phase.CLEANUP DUP or perhaps better in WeldStartCompletionService.start. Instead of depending on services you register their ServiceController with the StabilityMonitor and then awaitStability.
Doing it in a service means that other DUPs in that same Phase won't have to wait to execute until stability is reached. It shouldn't be done in a Phase.INSTALL DUP.

> WebComponents are optional and fail in initialising it not causes fail of deployment, but when starting EAR application with included WAR fail in deployment since Wildfly 12 because WeldStartCompletionService depends on all components regardless of their type
