This version number is basically a marketing tool only and should *always* be considered *output-only*! To determine server capabilities, we need to be querying the management schema version (1.0 for 7.0, 1.1 for 7.1 but NOT guaranteed to follow that progression) and the subsystem schema version (also various progression).
