A valve at the engine level called "ActiveRequestResponseCacheValve" caches the
active request/response.
Valve to cache Catalina Request object in a threadlocal at the engine
level
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBAS-7311
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBAS-7311
Project: JBoss Application Server
Issue Type: Sub-task
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Components: Web (Tomcat) service
Affects Versions: JBossAS-5.1.0.GA
Reporter: Anil Saldhana
Assignee: Anil Saldhana
Fix For: JBossAS-5.2.0.Beta1, JBossAS-6.0.0.Alpha1
During security processing in the realms, there is no easy way to get to the catalina
request object.
We need to remove the thread locals from the SecurityASsociationValve for request caching
and introduce a valve at the engine level.
