Stan Silvert commented on JBAS-4174:
------------------------------------
Maybe I see what you are saying. Are you talking about the Sun versions of these
libraries? Sun forked these libraries and changed the package names to
com.sun.org.apache. There is no way we could safely use the standard versions of these
libraries.

JSF: 3rd party libraries
------------------------
Key: JBAS-4174
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBAS-4174
Project: JBoss Application Server
Issue Type: Feature Request
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Components: JavaServerFaces
Affects Versions: JBossAS-4.2.0.CR1
Environment: JBoss-4.2.0CR1 (SVN tag) with Sun JDK-1.5.0_11
Reporter: Jesper Pedersen
Assigned To: Stan Silvert
Priority: Optional
Currently the JSF-1.2 implementation (jsf-impl.jar) contains its 3rd party library
dependencies:
commons-beanutils
commons-collections (already in server/lib)
commons-digester
commons-logging (already in server/lib)
It would be great if these libraries could be externalized to jsf-libs or server/lib and
specified in build-thirdparty.xml.
