Thomas Heute commented on JBPORTAL-1777:
----------------------------------------
What would you suggest ?
Multiple -object.xml files should demark your transactions.
If you don't put this in a transaction you would loose consistency, what if the
process breaks in the middle ?
Maybe i misunderstood the issue though :)
Portal Pages Are Added To Hibernate/Cache In A Single Transaction Per
Deployment
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBPORTAL-1777
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBPORTAL-1777
Project: JBoss Portal
Issue Type: Feature Request
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Components: Portal Core
Affects Versions: 2.4.1 SP1, 2.6 Final, 2.6.1 Final, 2.6.2 Final
Reporter: Jimmy Wilson
Assigned To: Julien Viet
JBoss Portal pages are added to Hibernate (and therefore the replicated cache) in a
single transaction per deployment. When a deployment has lots of pages, this causes
locking and/or replication timeouts for simultaneous startup/hot-deployment.
