This came out of an issue that I have also filed in that the quickstarts deploy
applications via the API, they do not end up in the deployments directory, but as a hashed
name in some other folder. The deployments directory has things in it, it would be nice
to know where an application is loaded from. Indicating that you will not see it in the
deployments directory or something along those lines. I hope that helps. Let me know if
it does not?

See the attached screen shot, but we can via API load applications, should the console
indicate this information?
