the selection behavior in the right panel will match what we discussed via the wireframe
demo:

* User selects a DO, names it, set conditions if applicable, then hits the Add button to
add it to the cell.
* Alternatively, the power user type can just type an expression directly in the input
area.

I'm unclear about the copy use case - the only copy action that I'm aware of is to

When the user edits the type of a column, the expression builder into the right panel
should highlight the existing mapped type.
