Basically your action class needs to have a public no-arg constructor and getter/setters.
I am attaching a sample action class we are using over at my company. Here is what the
XML configuration for it looks like.
<action name="startWorkflow"
class="cam.esb.jbpm.JbpmProcessAction">
<property name="contextVariable"
value="message"></property>
<property name="signal" value="begin"></property>
</action>
The attached action only has String properties but you aren't limited to that.
