Mario Fusco reassigned DROOLS-253:
----------------------------------
Assignee: Mario Fusco (was: Mark Proctor)
Importing a domain class named "Exception" raises an
ambiguity exception during RHS compilation
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: DROOLS-253
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/DROOLS-253
Project: Drools
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Affects Versions: 5.5.0.Final, 6.0.0.CR3
Reporter: Davide Sottara
Assignee: Mario Fusco
Priority: Blocker
Fix For: 5.5.1.Final, 6.0.0.CR4
If a user class named Exception is used,
import my.own.domain.Exception
rule "Foo"
when then end
the RHS compilation process resolves "Exception" to that name
rather than to java.lang.Exception
>> Rule compilation error [Rule name=Foo] :
{if import * is used } The type Exception is ambiguous
{if explicit import is used } Exception is not Throwable
