we can easily modify JackrabbitRepositoryConfigurator class to use both

yes - well this is currently allowed by specifying in components.xml a location for the
repository.xml, and then setting it up with the appropriate database, that is standard
jackrabbit. Someone was already using that with MySQL (Jackrabbit has dialects for most
databases).

So its more a matter of looking at components.xml, and documenting it accordingly, I
don't think any change is required.
