Thomas Heute updated JBPORTAL-1955:
-----------------------------------
Issue Type: Feature Request (was: Bug)
Fix Version/s: 2.7 Final
I move this as a feature request more than a bug.
The reason is that from the spec, the validation appears on "store" using the
portlet API. (and that validation occurs)
The admin portlet is more generic and is not necessarily bound to the JSR-168 spec, that
said, i understand that the same preference validation mechanism would be interesting to
have in the admin portlet.
PreferencesValidator is bypassed in the AdminPortlet

http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBPORTAL-1955
Project: JBoss Portal
Issue Type: Feature Request
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Components: Portal Core Admin
Affects Versions: 2.6.4 Final
Reporter: Martin Putz
Assigned To: Thomas Heute
Fix For: 2.7 Final
A PreferencesValidator (defined by a
<preferences-validator>...</preferences-validator> element in portlet.xml) is
usually called if a user tries to change a preference. This mechanism is bypassed in the
AdminPortlet.
