Gilles Hestin reopened JBRULES-2053:
------------------------------------
Hi,
I'm sorry but I have to re open this defect.
My testing is over drools-5.0.1.SNAPSHOT-guvnor version built yesterday the 13-05-2009. (I
got it from the hudson web site)
Normally it should fix this issue.
The detected propblems were :
1) Date format :
The format is dd-MMM-yyyy. We should be able to set a different format as for instance
dd/mm/yyyy.
This property would be set in a properties file.
2) Input field
No date field available. Plan to add a date field.
3) Error report
if the user fills a wrong date for instance, a message (dialog box) indicates that the
user must have a look at the server log file. It's not user-friendly, and how a
business analyst can access to the server (especially if the server is WAS on AIX : access
right issue) ?
The error message should be displayed in the dialog box.
Please find my remarks below :
1) It seems to work. But what about the date storage.
For Instance :
- first : I've created a rule with the date 25/12/2009 (the preferences properties
contain : dd/mm/yyyy). It works, I can save it.
- next : I've updated the date format, the current value was
drools.dateformat=dd-MMM-yyyy
- at last : I want display the previous date... I get 25/12/2009, I expect something like
25-MAY-2009
2) I don't see any date picker
3) The message displayed doesn't contain the error's details.
To my mind instead of " [testdate] Unable to validate this asset. (Check log for
detailed messages)."
you could display "Unable to validate this asset. Invalid date input format:
[25/12/2009] it should follow: [dd-MMM-yyyy]"
