[~xf01213] [~smarlow] I can tell you for a fact that upgrading Avro will break Hibernate
Search, unless we patch it too and upgrade it in WildFly. Patching Hibernate Search should
be doable, but tests in this area are sparse.
So it's all a matter of backward compatibility and whether we're ready to take the
risk of breaking existing applications. Last we talked about this, we decided not to
upgrade.
