A full cache is using a lot of performance. Our customers are not happy, if we would have to shutdown the server for cleanings additionally to application hotfixes. My idea: A new feature with cleaning the cache (/tmp and /work) automatically with the restart of the application server. benefits: - better performance for the application server - applications are faster - lower technical problems with the application - lower work for the System Administrator - more place on the hard disk - customers are happy :-)
