I am trying to do some multiplication in a drool.
long grace = 30l/*days*/ * 24 * 60 * 60 * 1000;
But, when it runs I get the error: 'Operator ";" expected' I can however
do.
long grace1 = 30;
long grace2 = 24;
long grace3 = 60;
long grace4 = 1000;
long grace = grace1 * grace2 * grace3 * grace3 * grace4;

Can you give a bit more details about this issue? Where are you trying to use this
statement? Can you send a complete DRL showing this bug?

Here is a sample rule file that i have been having the issue on:
rule "PRO_TEST_PRODUCT"
when
rules : SubscriptionRulesBean( );
then
log.debug("Firing PROU50GB2YR subscription generation rule.");
rules.setDurationCode("YEAR");
rules.setDurationLength(2);
rules.setSingleUse(false);
rules.setPrepay(true);
rules.setMaxPaymentErrorCount(7);
rules.setGraceInMillis((long) (30 * 24 * 60 * 60 * 1000.0));
rules.setContinuationDays(new Integer(14));

Instead of adding an l to make the setGraceInMillis I had to make it a double and cast as
a long.

I just checked this issue with the following rule but I haven't been able to reproduce
the problem:
rule R1 when
$p : Person( name == \"Mark\" )
then
$p.setAgeInMillis( 37L * 365 * 24 * 60 * 60 * 1000 );
end
Note that I am using an upper case L just because I think that the lower case one can be
easily confused with a 1 like in: 37l and 371
Anyway I tried the same also with the lower case l and with both java and mvel dialect and
I couldn't find any problem.
Please attach a complete failing test case if possible. I am going to flag this as not
reproduceable in the meanwhile.
