Paul Gier commented on JBBUILD-617:
-----------------------------------
I think this is a good idea, but we haven't come up with a good solution for it yet.
There is a partially complete google analytics plugin for Nexus as described in
JBBUILD-598. Since our repository uses an Apache proxy, another possibility is to use
standard Apache tools such as AWStats [1]. I believe the
JBoss.org team is also looking
into options for tracking download stats.
[
1]http://awstats.sourceforge.net/
Allow maven artifact download statistics.

Project: JBoss Build System
Issue Type: Task
Components: Artifact Repositories
Reporter: Wesley Hales
Assignee: Paul Gier
Fix For: Build Support 2011
Give projects the ability to see download counts on artifacts. For example to track
archetype downloads/usage. This will allow us to make useful changes on a project basis,
to see what is popular and what is not being used and therefore should be removed.
