[ http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBRULES-705?page=comments#action_12361251 ] Michael Neale commented on JBRULES-705: --------------------------------------- There may be a more clever way rather then enforcing this in the GUI: basically, when someone tries to save a package config, or check in an asset, or create a snapshot etc - if the package/asset being dealt with is already a snapshot, then we throw back a SerializableException with the message in it of "hey numbnuts, you can't change this one !" - means less work, and its validated at the back end. As for historical assets, they are already read only, so no work to do there.
