How does one go around to adding one category to get only logs from that one category? If
you add it as <logger> with a lower level than threshold the logs are ditched, if
you lower the threshold you get unwanted logs as well.

There is a test.level sys prop which is used by /some/ tests to set the overall level
(they use logging.properties to set up the log env). For simple (serverless) tests this
is fine. For tests where the logging subsystem is involved though... that's somewhat
more complex I think...

I did this a while ago. Basically you can do
-Dtrace=org.jboss.as.category1,org.jboss.as.category2
To enable trace logging. This works through a stylesheet that adds the relevant categories
to standalone.xml
