Did you install the JDK 6 4.2.3.GA binaries available here:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=22866&package_i...
If so, copying of libraries to lib/endorsed are not needed.
If you installed the JDK 5 binaries, and are running with JDK 6, then this information
provided in the release notes needs to be followed:
* When running under Java 6 you need to manually copy the following libraries from the
JBOSS_HOME/client directory to
the JBOSS_HOME/lib/endorsed directory, so that the JAX-WS 2.0 apis supported by JBossWS
are used:
o jboss-jaxrpc.jar
o jboss-jaxws.jar
o jboss-jaxws-ext.jar
o jboss-saaj.jar
o jaxb-api.jar

Requests get the error "setProperty must be overridden by all subclasses of
SOAPMessage"
In the abstract class javax.xml.soap.SOAPMessage which is now shipped with the jdk, the
implementation of setProperty is as follows:
public void setProperty(String property, Object value)
throws SOAPException {
throw new UnsupportedOperationException("setProperty must be overridden
by all subclasses of SOAPMessage");
}
in the constructor of org.jboss.ws.soap.SOAPMessageImpl it calls the super methods
setProperty(CHARACTER_SET_ENCODING, "UTF-8");
setProperty(WRITE_XML_DECLARATION, false);
This results in the exception being thrown.
