Hi,
I was wondering if there commit message should contain the JIRA ticket
number + the usual comment. IMO that helps a lot.
(also JIRA than can cross link to the actual commits)

Yeah, we should be doing that. I do it pretty regularly but will admit I have probably
forgotten a few times.

Indeed, that's very useful.
I don't know if you're already doing it, but It's also nice to link the jira
issue with the related pull request.
I see that you already have the plugin.

If you create a branch with the issue id and rebase it when get it solved, it works too.
IMO it's less verbose than put it on commit messages.
