Hi,
sorry for the late response.
I think we might start with the work on HV 5 as soon as we got HV
4.3.0.CR1 released. Ideally then we shouldn't have any further changes
for 4.3.0.Final, or in the bad case it should be minor bugfixes only,
which should allow us to rebase the HV 5 branch on that without too
much effort.
This would also give us a bit more time to gather user feedback on the
4.3.0 CR (or release another CR) without having to rush the release in
order to get started with the 5.0 development.
Once we've started, I think we could have 5.0.0.Alpha1 out within 3 or
4 weeks, so this would be ~6 weeks from now. Of course this depends on
how much time we can put into this, but this should be doable given
the current velocity we have.
Does that sound reasonable?

HV 4.3 asap, and then proceed with HV 5 as first release based on BV 1.1. I'm not sure
though, whether we'll have a first Alpha ready within one month, given that we have to
finalize 4.3 before.

We heavily prioritized the remaining 4.3 issues and there are only 11 left now. I am
working on getting most of them sorted out by next week were we
are planning Beta1. CR and Final will follow closely. Let's say three weeks for 4.3
Final.
I am not sure atm how much work it will be to align the current method level validation
with the spec. Gunnar is probably in a better position to give an
estimate for that.
