[JBoss JIRA] (DROOLS-3997) [DMN Designer] Included Model Name marshalling issues depending on imported model name
by Michael Anstis (Jira)
Michael Anstis commented on DROOLS-3997:
----------------------------------------
[~dadossan] I don't know the details of this JIRA but I assume the _alias_ given for the import is used in the namespace declaration?
If this is true; then I think we simply need to add validation of the alias to exclude spaces; or more strictly adhere to the W3 definition of a namespace [prefix|https://www.w3.org/TR/xml-names/#NT-Prefix]. You can follow the links to {{[NCName|https://www.w3.org/TR/xml-names/#NT-NCName]}} to find the characters permitted. You might be able to find a [regex|https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2519845/how-to-check-if-string-...] to perform the validation!

> There is issue in marshalling, if the included model name contains *whitespace* character. In such case xml editor is opened instead of the dmn editor. See the attached picture and steps to reproduce for more details.
> Issue spotted during review of DROOLS-3720 and DROOLS-3721. However it is probably not related.

> When trying to make a link from an overlay to a JAR, classes from overlay libraries are not loaded for a linked JAR.
> The situation is similar when creating a link to a JAR which is located inside EAR.
> Should overlay deployment mechanism be supported for JARs?
> Example standalone.xml:
> {code:java}
> <deployment-overlays>
> ...
> <deployment-overlay name="my-overlay-n1">
> <content ...>
> <deployment name="my-jar-inside-ear-use-overlays-libs.jar"/>

> Maistra Job needs to support multiple control planes.
> In order to support Multi-Tenancy, the QE Pipeline deploy of Istio will need to support deploying Istio into multiple namespaces.
> Will also need support namespace selection for each Istio control-plane (i.e. each Kiali instance will have a view into a defined set of namespaces).

> As a practitioner, there are situations where I need to show additional information about a model... for instance: test coverage report: I need to draw a model and color code the nodes to show which nodes were executed by tests, or which rows on a DT were a match. Or when I execute a single test, what was the actual value of a given node or expression.
> Note: Maybe in read-only mode with an "overlay" on top of the model the additional metadata information. See process instance diagram design examples.
