So I'm now able to deploy my original EAR just fine with a brand new installation of
CR5 and I have no idea what I changed. Sorry to waste your time. I'll update again
if I find anything else out related to the JSF support. I thought my deployment steps
were identical for both CR4 and CR5 but apparently not.

didn't experience this with 10.0.0CR4:
