It's likely this won't go into 7.3, but I'll leave it at this release for now.
It would be nice and it's only a compile time change, but we need to see what actually
ends up getting changed.

A new release of the logging tooling will include a {{@ValidIdRange}} annotation. This
will help document which id ranges allowed as well as provide compile time validation.
