Resolution: Done
Found that ClusterPartition.setStateInternal() wasn't closing input stream after use.
Modified to close the stream and subsequently JGRP-418 could not be duplicated.

The only remaining non-JBossCache state transfer in AS 5 is for HASessionState (EJB 2x
SFSBs.) But, to be complete we want to add it as an option, and use it by default.
