Chapter five in the the 6.0.0 Final looks like it contains the intructions for version 5. I have downloaded 6.0.0 and successfully built the server using Maven. I did run into some glitches in the process 1) setting MAVEN_OPTS, 2) creating the settings.xml file for Maven, and 3) getting the right location for the JBoss repository (it changed over the period of time I was working on doing the build). My primary interest is in working with the AS code within JB Visual Developer. However I would be glad to try/proof the instructions for building the server from source code. If they don't exist I would also be willing to take a stab at writing them but don't want to invest the time if it has already been done.
