Howard Gao commented on JBMESSAGING-1614:
-----------------------------------------
I did a basic investigation, it is possible. The major problem is that the ServerPeerID is
involved in generate JBM unique IDs. We need to rethink of the algorithm before we
englarge it.
Remove 256 bridge limitation

Key: JBMESSAGING-1614
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBMESSAGING-1614
Project: JBoss Messaging
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: Configuration and Management
Affects Versions: 1.4.0.SP3.CP07
Reporter: Justin Bertram
Assignee: Howard Gao
Fix For: 1.4.0.SP3.CP08, 1.4.4.GA
Currently JBoss Messaging limits bridges to 256 just like it does for cluster nodes
because each bridge participant has to have a unique ServerPeerID (an 8-bit value).
However, users may want to bridge more than 256 servers to a single host. Can this
constraint be removed for bridges?
