I needed to rolback this commit for now as testsuite was failing and there were deployment
issues. Maybe some other stuff conflicted with it

Go to this link, http://portal.demo.jboss.com/portal/default, and try adding a user with
a "." in the username. And login as that user. Click on dashboard. It will fail.
This issue does not reproduce if the username doesn't have any dots.
