In the configuration API if a {{PropertyConfigurable.removeProperty()}} is invoked the
property is only removed from the configured properties. The value is left alone on the
target instance. For non-primitive types a {{null}} value should be passed to the setter
and for primitives a default value should be passed to the setter.
