Works for me with validation turned on.
Btw, the xsd in the site is not valid:

The interesting thing is that the xsd from my local build is valid.

A schema needs to start with
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
However, the <xsd:schema ... > element is missing !
We need this, or else a validating parse will fail !
