Alexey Loubyansky commented on JBMETA-76:
-----------------------------------------
Perhaps, it is true for most of the elements. But not all, e.g. env-entry-value. There
even is a test for it. I am looking into using @JBossXmlSchema.normalizeSpace=true and
@JBossXmlPreserveWhitespace for other fields..
Element values should be trimmed

Key: JBMETA-76
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBMETA-76
Project: JBoss Metadata
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Affects Versions: 1.0.0.Beta28
Reporter: Remy Maucherat
Assignee: Alexey Loubyansky
Priority: Critical
At least for web.xml parsing of web metadata, element values are apparently not trimmed.
Something like:
<servlet-class>
org.apache.catalina.servlets.DefaultServlet
</servlet-class>
causes a classloading failure, while
<servlet-class>org.apache.catalina.servlets.DefaultServlet</servlet-class>
works.
