I have just tested myself a call to AS7 based on the prerelease2 tag with the latest
chrome on Windows and the password prompt is being presented and authentication
completes.
Would it be possible for you to repeat your test and capture a network trace using
something like wireshark? (You may need the server to be on a different machine for a
network trace to be possible)

The application hangs at the GWT "Loading..." but never gives the password
prompt dialog. Login OK on IE9. Issues remains even if caches/passwords as cleared. From
