Wrong about the hole in smoke-tests; needed test is there, but when I ran it on a clean
checkout I missed the failure. :(

Problem is exhibited in TestSuite:
org.jboss.test.ejb3.test.SimpleSessionUnitTestCase.testSession
Caused by: org.jboss.remoting.CannotConnectException: Can not get connection to server.
Problem establishing socket connection for InvokerLocator [socket://127.0.0.1:3873
Locally, I don't see anything open on 3873 using:
$> sudo netstat -anp |grep 3873
