JBossTS 4.2.x is JDK 1.4 compliant, so ConcurrentHashMap won't work for us. 4.4, which
is targeted at AS 5.0 integration, may be 1.5 based, so we could look at that then.

I'm seeing some contention on the object _transactions in the class
com.arjuna.ats.internal.jta.transaction.arjunacore.TransactionImple. Most of the
contention happens in the getTransaction() method.
