The user may also have to set it up in JNDI based on the container is also an option. As for databases, repository.xml sets that up, I think. the repository.xml should be either on the classpath, or on the file system, and the user can configure where the repo is stored. Also need to have upload/backup functionality (GUI). its ok to require editing of the repository.xml by hand. It can be bound to JNDI.
