Further improvements: state transfer between local clusters (only relevant with
replication) and buffering of messages by second-in-line.
Currently, these 2 features are not really needed, as the major use case is Infinispan in
DIST mode: no state transfer (Infinispan uses rebalancing) and no buffering of messages
needed (Infinispan will simply fail the update of the backup node(s))
