Just curious - Can't this library jar (of any version of your choice) be just packaged
within the application and start using it? Or is JBoss AS adding this as an implicit
dependency to your deployments (which would require some additional
jboss-deployment-structure.xml configurations, to use a different version of that
module)?

JBoss ships with Google Guava r06. Meanwhile 10.0-rc1 is available. If you don't want
to upgrade to a release candidate, you'd at least upgrade to r09.
