The scanner will then invoke on the server's deployment API, same as an external client would (except in VM calls would be used.) This JIRA is limited to the standalone server case. Hot deployment for a full domain is a more complex case as the semantics are unclear of how changes in content get pushed to multiple servers across potentially multiple server groups.
