Additionally, dos2unix ought to be run on all *nix shell scripts to remove the newlines
and it might be preferrable to package this as a .tar or .tgz file to maintain
permissions.

The Starters Kit and associated documentation is very windows-centric. This is explained
adequately and the issues are simple enough to compensate for, but providing the bash
scripts would make it that much easier for developers and it's easy to provide them.
