Tom Baeyens closed JBPM-952.
----------------------------
Resolution: Rejected
currently, we don't plan to have configurable out of the box support for
authorization. i wan't to provide a more generic solution to this.
you could build it yourself by making use of the identity component, though. but then you
need to tweak the web console. you could define an authroization-group for each process.
all members of that group can then start the process.
you might create a link between the authorization group and the process by a name
convention on the group. e.g. the group has groupType process-authorization and the group
is called [process-name]-authorization-group or something like that.
in one of the later versions we might work out some thing similar out of the box, but i
want to take the time to analyse this carefully
api support for finding the relationship of a process definition to
an actor or to pooledActors

Key: JBPM-952
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBPM-952
Project: JBoss jBPM
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: Core Engine
Affects Versions: jBPM 3.1.4
Environment: jbpm-3.1.4.zip
jboss-4.0.5.GA
postgresql
openSUSE 10.2
Reporter: y o
Assigned To: Tom Baeyens
Typical use case can be e.g. checking if a user is allowed to start a particular process.
Currently this can only be done through manually parsing the actorIdExpression or
pooledActorsExpression.
