This is necessary for all Linux distributions that do not include the use of pre-compiled libraries (including maven plugins), available on various maven repository. e.g http://central.maven.org/maven2/ https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Guidelines#No_inclusion_of_pre-b...
