Dmitri Voronov commented on JBAS-1429:
--------------------------------------
Does "Reauthentication Support" in this feature request mean support by
application server or by JCA connection factory? It seems not to be distinguished here.
Changes 1-3) are server specific and 4) is JCA provider specific. Changes 1-3 affects more
than JDBC only, but any other JCA implementation as well. If you are going to solve the
issue by introducing a new interface like ReauthenticationMachanism I doubt that any
third-party JCA vendor will implement it; it would be a solution for JBoss' JCA
implementation for JDBC only. For us it is important to have the server-side
re-authentication support first (1-3), which will allow to use re-authentication provided
by the other JCA vendors.
